The group is spread over two separate laboratories, one based in the Department of Chemistry and a second in the Manchester Materials Science Centre.  Research is divided in two major areas, synthesis (Department of Chemistry) and deposition (MMSC).  The group is equipped with a variety of CVD reactors, a UV-VIS spectrophotometer, a FT-IR spectrometer with a Diamond Golden Gate ATR accessory, a Photoluminescence spectrometer and a multi-stage X-ray Powder Diffractometer.
